Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Inference website, API, or any associated software services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are explicitly prohibited from using or accessing our API and services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Inference Inc.

2. API Usage & Routing Mechanics

Inference provides an intelligent routing layer for Large Language Models. You agree to use the API respectfully and strictly in accordance with our technical documentation. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer our routing algorithms, latency optimization logic, or load-balancing infrastructure.

• You are strictly responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. Any usage generated by your API keys will be billed directly to your account.
• Rate limits are enforced programmatically based on your subscription tier and account standing. Circumvention of these limits is a violation of these Terms.
• We reserve the right to immediately suspend accounts displaying abusive, malicious, or automated scraping traffic patterns without prior notice.
• You may not use our API to generate content that violates the terms of service of our underlying providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).

3. Billing, Payments & Overage

All fees are calculated based on your aggregate token usage across standard and premium routes. Free tier limits are hard-capped to prevent accidental overages. Premium accounts will automatically scale and bill at the end of the monthly cycle using your provided payment method.

If your payment method fails, your API access will be gracefully downgraded to the Free tier until the outstanding balance is resolved. Refunds are strictly not provided for partial usage, accidental token generation, or third-party model degradation.

5. Referral Program

Inference operates a referral program that rewards users for inviting new members to the platform. By participating in the referral program, you agree to the following conditions:

• Referral codes are strictly personal and may only be shared in good faith with individuals who are genuinely interested in using the platform.
• Any attempt to abuse, manipulate, or exploit the referral system — including but not limited to self-referrals, fake account creation, or coordinated reward farming — will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account.
• Referral credits are only awarded once a referred user completes a qualifying top-up of $5.00 or more. Credits will not be issued for sign-ups alone.
• Inference reserves the right to audit referral activity at any time and withhold or reverse credits in cases of suspected abuse.
• Accounts found in violation of the referral policy will be permanently banned without appeal and all associated credits and balances will be forfeited.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we guarantee algorithmic optimal routing and edge-node acceleration, we cannot guarantee the absolute uptime, latency, or response quality of underlying third-party LLM providers. Inference acts as an intelligent intermediary; we do not govern the semantic output of the models you route to.

In no event shall Inference be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our routing services.
